TROMBKA, Ilana Ms.

Director General of the Senate

Ilana Trombka is Director General of the Brazilian Senate since February 2015, in charge of managing the institution’s administrative affairs. Before that function, she was Deputy Director General of the Brazilian Senate.  Formerly, she acted as Director of Community’s Training of the Interlegis Program, performed as Assistant to the Secretariat of Technical Coordination and Institutional Relations of the President of the Senate’s Office, and was also Head of the Parliamentary Assistance of the Ministry of National Integration. She has taught in several Brazilian universities and nowadays is Professor of Scientific Methodology at the Brazilian Senate’s Instituto Legislativo Brasileiro. Mrs. Trombka has a Master Degree in Social Communication at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, is Specialist in Legislative Law at Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, and graduated in Public Relations at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. She is co-founder of the Parliamentary Front of the Brazilian Antartic Program and has won two editions of the “Public Opinion” Prize.
