Cvetanka Ivanova was born on 4 June 1958 in Zagorani, Prilep. She finished Primary and High School Prilep. She graduated from the Faculty of Law “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” – Lawyer – Legal Department. Passed the Bar Exam in 1993, and the Notary Exam in 1997. From 1983 to 1987, Cevetanka Ivanova worked as Head of Legal Department in AD Holding ZIK “Strumica” – Strumica. From 1997 to 2001 she was Deputy Ombudsman of the Republic of Macedonia for the areas of Strumica and Radovish. From 2002 to 2014 she was a Member of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and participated in the work of the working bodies and delegations for cooperation, she was Chair of the Committee on Labour and Social Policy, Chair of the Legislative Committee and Coordinator of Parliamentary Group, as well as Coordinator of Women Parliamentarians’ Club. Cvetanka Ivanova was lecturer and participant in international, regional, national and local conferences. She also participated in the law making processes in the areas of political system, elections, labour, and rights of women and protection of the rights of children. She was appointed Secretary General of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia on 15 July 2017.
